loeber motors 90th anniversary

It’s official! 2026 marks our 90th year as a locally owned and family operated automotive dealer group, serving Chicagoland’s luxury automotive sales and service needs with purpose, passion, and pride. It’s been a true pleasure to serve generations of families for nine decades. From the very first handshake in 1936 to the latest vehicle delivery, every mile on this journey has been guided by a simple belief that our success is measured by the trust and confidence our customers place in us. Our founder, Martin Loeber, bought his first dealership in downtown Chicago in 1936, and since that day we’ve been honored to be a part of this vibrant community. As the years have rolled by, Loeber Motors has grown and evolved, yet our core commitments have remained steady: integrity, service, and a genuine love for the brands we represent. We’ve built lasting relationships, supported local initiatives, and committed ourselves to excellence in every interaction from the showroom floor to the service bay, and everywhere in between.

In 2026, we celebrate the milestones we’ve accomplished, but more importantly, we express our gratitude to every single client we’ve had the pleasure to serve. Your loyalty, referrals, and trust have shaped our path and inspired us to continually raise the bar. We’ve learned from you, adapted with you, and grown because of you. Thank you for being a part of Loeber Motors’ 90-year legacy. Your support has inspired three generations of Loeber family leadership, teamwork, and giving back to the Chicago communities we call home. The journey continues and we are honored to share it with you. As we look ahead, we remain devoted to helping you find the right vehicle, delivering the service you expect, and embracing the innovations that will carry us into the next era of mobility.

Here’s to the road ahead, together.

Winter in Chicago brings snow, slush, freezing rain, and windchill conditions that challenge every vehicle.

Mercedes-Benz models are engineered with advanced safety systems and durable components, but preparing your vehicle for winter is still essential. There’s something enchanting about winter in the Midwest.

The crispness in the air, the lights strung across sleepy downtowns, the promise of cocoa or cocktails by a roaring fire.

And while Illinois may not have the pine-covered peaks of Colorado or the snowy promenades of Bavaria, it makes up for it with its own brand of holiday magic—especially if you know where to look.

Christmas in the Midwest comes with its own rhythms.

Long drives on gray, slushy roads.

Light shows glowing through early darkness.

Family outings to the suburbs or sleepy towns filled with little shops.

Whether you’re heading out for last-minute gifts or looking to escape it all for a weekend away, your car becomes your co-conspirator.

And this year, the only thing better than arriving somewhere beautifully decorated is arriving in something that feels like a holiday gift unto itself.

Black Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Van parked on a quiet city street with shops and trees in the background.

There’s something quietly heroic about the Midwest in winter.

We don’t cancel plans because of snow.

We shovel out the driveway, toss extra gloves in the trunk, and hit the road.

We drive through fog to make it to Aunt Carol’s gingerbread brunch in Racine, and we detour around icy interstates to see our college kid play violin in Bloomington.

Every year, as the final quarter rolls around and Chicago businesses start closing their books, one opportunity stands out for anyone who uses a vehicle for work—Section 179 of the IRS tax code.

It isn’t a flashy marketing gimmick; it’s a legitimate way for businesses to save thousands of dollars before the year ends. By taking advantage of Section 179, qualified business owners can deduct a major portion—or sometimes nearly the full cost—of certain vehicles in the same year they’re purchased and put into service. For those looking to upgrade to a Mercedes-Benz GLS, G-Class, or Sprinter from Loeber Motors, this could be one of the smartest financial moves you make all year.

2026 Mercedes-AMG® GLE 53 SUV for sale

Some luxury SUVs shout for attention.

The Mercedes-AMG® GLE 53 doesn’t need to do that.

There’s a reason the Mercedes-AMG® GLE 53 has become a signature vehicle for drivers who want both intensity and refinement. It’s the one SUV that doesn’t make you choose between power and comfort—between a sports car’s adrenaline and a luxury sedan’s grace. And for 2026, AMG® has taken that harmony even further, reshaping the GLE 53 into one of the most advanced and balanced performance SUVs on the road today.

There were many improvements made to existing functions, but the primary focus was on the brand-new AI-assisted technology upgrade. Everything about the MBUX was designed with user experience in mind. For instance, the MBUX Zero Layer simplifies the infotainment system by displaying applications on the home screen that contextually reflect the current situation.
