Introducing the 2025 Mercedes-Benz AMG GT: Performance Redefined

The fusion of rapid acceleration and agile handling sets the best sports cars apart. The 2025 Mercedes-Benz AMG GT has the horsepower to challenge other high-performance coupes in straight-line speed, but it also features an intelligent AWD and advanced suspension system to turn without slowing down.

Tremendous Power

To match your desire for performance, the 2025 AMG GT offers a lineup of three powerful engines. The base 2.0L turbocharged inline-4 with hybrid assist generates 416 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. The engine’s electric exhaust-gas turbocharger, designed by the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula 1 team, pairs with the 48V hybrid starter generator to improve engine response across the full RPM range. The powertrain enables the AMG GT 43 Coupe to sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds.

The AMG GT 55 Coupe and AMG GT 63 Coupe models are equipped with a beastly 4.0L biturbo V8 for quicker acceleration. However, the lineup’s best performance figures are unlocked at the AMG GT 63 S E Performance Coupe trim level, which combines the V8 with an electric motor, forming a plug-in hybrid powertrain. The setup generates 805 hp and 1,047 lb-ft of torque and propels the coupe from 0 to 60 mph in a jaw-dropping 2.7 seconds.

AMG Performance 4MATIC+ All-Wheel Drive

With the exclusion of the rear-wheel drive (RWD) AMG GT 43 Coupe, all 2025 AMG GT models feature standard all-wheel drive (AWD.) Mercedes-Benz’s innovative AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive system is capable of instantly varying the front-to-rear torque distribution. The system decides how much power to send to the front and rear wheels based on speed, cornering angle, and road conditions. This enhances traction and greatly improves handling.

AMG RIDE CONTROL suspension

The entry-level AMG GT 43 Coupe features an optional AMG RIDE CONTROL suspension with electronically controlled 3-stage adaptive damping. The setup adjusts to reduce pitch and body roll, keeping the wheels firmly planted on the road and allowing the coupe to turn safely at high speeds. You can switch between Comfort, Sport, and Sport+ via AMG DYNAMIC SELECT to change the damping rates to match your driving preferences.

The AMG ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL suspension with active anti-roll technology is standard on higher trim levels. It replaces the mechanical torsion bars with a hydraulic roll control system that dramatically reduces body roll and sharpens steering response.

The Mercedes-Benz AMG GT brings unapologetic performance to Lincolnwood streets with its exciting selection of powertrains, 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive system, and AMG RIDE CONTROL suspension. Visit us at Loeber Motors in Lincolnwood, IL to find out more about why drivers love the AMG GT.
