2024 S 500 4MATIC Sedan
The S 500 has a 3-liter inline-6 engine that produces 442 horsepower at 5,800 to 6,100 RPM and 413 lb.-ft. of torque at 2,200 to 5,000 RPM. It has a 9-speed transmission, accelerates from zero to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds, and gets 21 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway. It rides on 19-inch wheels and 255/45R19 all-season tires that increase traction.

The upgraded 580 model has the more powerful 4-liter V8 biturbo engine, which produces 469 horsepower at 5,500 RPM and 516 lb.-ft. of torque at 2,000 to 4,500 RPM. It accelerates in a jiffy, going from zero to 60 mph in 4.3 seconds, and gets 18 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway.
2024 S 580e 4MATIC Sedan
The S 580e is the hybrid version of the S-Class. It gets an estimated 55 MPGe in the city and 68 MPGe on the highway, and goes from zero to 60 mph in 4.8 seconds.
You can travel up to 46 miles before switching to fuel. The battery takes 2.25 hours to charge on AC power, and 20 minutes on DC, so you get to work on time, even if you forgot to plug it in overnight. It gets 503 horsepower and 553 lb.-ft. of torque with the combined electric and 3-liter turbo engine.
